 I think this quote means that sometimes you need to have your own responsibility on your action that you do. From you'r body from you'r mind and you'r spirit. The reason why you need to be responsible is because some day you will need to do cretin things that you need to take charge of and by being responsible putting you'r mind you'r spirit and your own physical ,mental,ans spiritual being you will ready .
