This quote means that when you feel you did good you feel proud of yourself. And when you feel you did bad you feel guilty so it makes you feel bad. An example of this quote is maybe, obeying your parents if you obey them they will be happy and you will feel good. but if you disobey them they will be mad and you will feel bad because you made them mad.
